One row per measure (bill, resolution, memorial or joint resolution), per session, 2009 through the current session.
session: Legislative session year the measure was introduced in.number: The Legislature's measure number as printed, without a reprint suffix, e.g. H0489, S1304, HCR010.type: The measure's letter prefix: H, S, HCR, HJM, HJR, SCR, SJM, SJR, HR, SR.title: The Legislature's short title for the measure, verbatim.status: The Legislature's final status string for the measure, verbatim: a committee code, LAW, LAW/Line Item Veto, ADOPTED, FAILED, or VETOED.enacted: True when status begins with LAW (includes LAW/Line Item Veto).chapter: Session law chapter number from the session's law page, or null if the measure was not enacted.signed: Date the Governor signed the measure, ISO format, or null.effective: The law page's effective-date text, verbatim, or null. Often multiple or conditional dates in one string.topics: The Legislature's own subject-index headings for this measure, joined with "; ", or null if the measure carries no heading in that session's index.url: The measure's page on the Idaho Legislature's site.
Caveats
- A signature date is recorded only where the law page prints it as MM/DD/YY; other formats carry no date.
- Subject-index headings are not stable across sessions, and roughly a quarter of them are cross-references with no bill filed under them directly, so a heading count here runs below the index's own total.
- Sessions before 2009 used markup this dataset does not parse and are not included.
- The Legislature's 2026 Sine Die Report states 350 bills became law; this dataset counts 344 enacted from the index and law page, and the difference is not reconciled.
