Caveats
- Issue is this dataset's own five-way classification of a measure's subject label, not a category the Legislature publishes.
- Sponsor is usually the originating committee rather than a named legislator; 2 of 70 agricultural measures in the 2026 session named an individual.
- The Legislature's subject label for a policy is not stable across sessions; the same policy can carry a different label, and a different issue classification, year to year.
- A small number of measures are included or excluded by override rather than by subject label, for example rule-review resolutions with no subject label at all.

- Enacted agriculture, water, and resource bills by issue (count): Number of measures with outcome 'enacted' in the session, by this dataset's issue classification.

Every bill, resolution, memorial and joint resolution introduced in each Idaho legislative session from 2009 through the current session, with its final status, its session law chapter and dates if enacted, and the Legislature's own subject-index headings.

Caveats
- A signature date is recorded only where the law page prints it as MM/DD/YY; other formats carry no date.
- Subject-index headings are not stable across sessions, and roughly a quarter of them are cross-references with no bill filed under them directly, so a heading count here runs below the index's own total.
- Sessions before 2009 used markup this dataset does not parse and are not included.
- The Legislature's 2026 Sine Die Report states 350 bills became law; this dataset counts 344 enacted from the index and law page, and the difference is not reconciled.
Measures
- Bills, resolutions and memorials introduced (count): Number of rows on the session's legislation index page: bills, resolutions, memorials and joint resolutions together.
- Measures enacted into law (count): Number of rows on the session's own law page, one per session-law chapter. Includes measures with a line-item veto, which still became law.
- Measures vetoed outright (count): Number of measures whose final status on the session index is exactly VETOED. Excludes LAW/Line Item Veto, which stays enacted.

Caveats
- Extraordinary sessions (2000, 2006, 2015, 2020, 2022) are kept as records but excluded from the session-length metric, which covers Regular sessions only.
- The page prints one convened and one adjourned date per session; 2021's 311-day span (January 11 to November 17) reflects a recess and reconvening with no separate dates recorded.
- A same-day extraordinary session counts as 1 day; the page's time of day is not kept.
Measures
- Legislative session length (count): Number of calendar days the Idaho Legislature's Regular session ran, inclusive of both dates, computed from the Legislature's own published convening and adjournment dates.
