Caveats
- Idaho's annual figures are BLS's own published annual-average row; every other geography's is the mean of that year's not-seasonally-adjusted monthly rates, BLS's own method.
- LAUS annual estimates are revised the following spring against updated survey and Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) inputs.
- Idaho Department of Labor republishes these same BLS figures for Idaho; it is not an independent source.
- LAUS measures the labor force, employment and unemployment by place of residence, unlike the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, which counts jobs by place of work. County-level figures are model-based estimates (BLS's 'Handbook method'), built from the Current Population Survey, the Current Employment Statistics program, QCEW and unemployment insurance claims, because the Current Population Survey alone is too small to directly measure employment and unemployment in a single county.
