Caveats

  • These are the Department's own model output for future employment and openings, not observed counts; a 2032 figure is a projection.
  • Annual openings is the workbook's total figure only; the source also splits it into exits, transfers, and growth, not stored here.
  • 40 of 749 detailed occupations have employment and openings figures suppressed by the publisher; those observations are omitted, not stored as zero.

Measures

  • Projected employment by detailed occupation (people): Employment for each detailed (6-digit SOC) occupation, statewide, in the projection cycle's base year (status final) and projected year (status projection).
  • Projected annual openings by detailed occupation (people): Total projected average annual job openings (turnover plus growth) for each detailed occupation, statewide, over the projection cycle's base-to-projected-year range.
  • Projected employment by major occupation group (people): Employment for each major SOC occupational group, plus the workbook's own all-occupations total, statewide, in the base year (status final) and projected year (status projection).
  • Projected annual openings by major occupation group (people): Total projected average annual job openings (turnover plus growth) for each major SOC occupational group, plus the workbook's own all-occupations total, statewide, over the projection cycle's base-to-projected-year range.

Caveats

  • Reference period is May of the estimate year, the OEWS survey's standard month, not a full-year average.
  • Mean and median annual wage differ, especially for high-wage occupations; the two are not interchangeable.
  • A blank cell means BLS suppressed the estimate for sample size or reliability; the observation is omitted, not stored as zero.
  • The workbook also lists Idaho's metro areas and two balance-of-state regions; neither has a site geography id, so neither is included.
  • All figures are the all-industries, all-ownership-class total (BLS code 1235), not an industry- or sector-specific cut.

Measures

  • Occupational employment (people): Estimated employment for the all-occupations total and each detailed occupation, statewide, rounded to the nearest 10.
  • Mean annual wage by occupation (usd): Mean annual wage for the all-occupations total and each detailed occupation, statewide.
  • Median annual wage by occupation (usd): Median (50th percentile) annual wage for the all-occupations total and each detailed occupation, statewide.
  • Occupational employment by major group (people): Estimated employment for each major SOC occupational group, statewide, rounded to the nearest 10.
  • Mean annual wage by major occupation group (usd): Mean annual wage for each major SOC occupational group, statewide.
  • Median annual wage by major occupation group (usd): Median (50th percentile) annual wage for each major SOC occupational group, statewide.

Idaho Top 100 Employers, 2025, built by scripts/fetch-idol-top-employers.py

Caveats

  • Employment is published only as a range (e.g. '12,500 - 14,999') and is stored as such; no midpoint is computed.
  • The list covers only employers that signed a disclosure agreement; a large employer that declined disclosure is absent from it.
  • This is the department's Business Listings program, not the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, a separate LMI dataset.
  • The department labels this the 2025 edition but states no reference date or quarter within 2025 for the employment ranges.

Measures

  • Top 100 employers by ownership type (count): Number of employers on Idaho's Top 100 employers list (2025 edition) in each ownership class. A count of the published rows, not an estimate.
