Caveats
- A cell coded (D) (suppressed), (L) (below threshold) or (NA) (not available) is omitted, never recorded as zero.
- The industry breakdown follows the 2017 revision of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS); nested sub-sector lines and the Private industries subtotal are excluded so the categories do not double-count.
- BEA's own multi-state region aggregates are excluded from this site; the District of Columbia is included as a state-type geography.
Measures
- Gross domestic product (usd millions): All-industry gross domestic product in current dollars (not adjusted for inflation), for the nation and each state.
- Real GDP (chained 2017 dollars) (usd millions): All-industry gross domestic product in millions of chained 2017 dollars, the Bureau of Economic Analysis's own inflation-adjusted figure, for the nation and each state.
- Gross domestic product by industry (usd millions): Current-dollar gross domestic product by 2-digit NAICS sector (plus government), for Idaho and the nation only.

Caveats
- Values are current dollars, not adjusted for inflation.
- A cell coded (NA) (not available) is omitted, never recorded as zero; Alaska and Hawaii carry (NA) before 1950 (pre-statehood).
- BEA's own multi-state region aggregates are excluded from this site; the District of Columbia is included as a state-type geography.
- Per capita personal income divides by BEA's own population estimate, not this site's Census Bureau population estimate; see disagreements.
Where sources disagree
- Per capita personal income, Idaho, 2019: the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program publishes $1.8 million. This dataset's per capita personal income for Idaho 2019 is BEA's own personal income divided by BEA's own population line (not stored as an observation here), which for 2019 reads 1,808,378, about 1.2 percent higher than the Population Estimates Program figure. BEA's footnote for its population line states its source as "U.S. Census Bureau midyear population estimates": a specific vintage current when that year's estimate was produced, which for years before the most recent decennial rebase can differ from the Population Estimates Program's currently published (Vintage 2025) series for the same calendar year. The two series agree for 2020 to 2025 (2,000,872 for Idaho 2024 in both).
Measures
- Personal income (usd millions): Total personal income received by residents of the nation or state, in current dollars.
- Per capita personal income (usd): Personal income divided by BEA's own midyear population estimate, in current dollars.
Regional price parities (RPP)
Regional price parities (a cost-of-living index by state, nation = 100) and real, price-adjusted per capita personal income by state, from the Bureau of Economic Analysis regional accounts.
- Organization
- U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis
- Dataset
- Regional Price Parities (SARPP)
- Geography
- Nation, states, and Idaho's seven metropolitan statistical areas (regional price parity only)

Caveats
- Only the all-items regional price parity is normalized to 100 for the nation; the goods and services sub-lines are not separately renormalized.
- The Services: Housing line is a rent-based cost index (contract and imputed rents), not a home-price measure.
- Real per capita personal income differs from the per capita personal income shown elsewhere on this site, which is nominal, current-dollar and not price-parity-adjusted.
- A cell coded (NA) (not available) or (NM) (not meaningful) is omitted, never recorded as zero; the District of Columbia is included as a state-type geography.
- Metro-area regional price parity is also included, for the seven metropolitan areas that include an Idaho county, matched against the Census Bureau's July 2023 metro-area delineation (OMB Bulletin No. 23-01). Lewiston, ID-WA and Logan, UT-ID cross the state line and are carried whole, as the publisher delineates them. The regional price parity for Twin Falls, ID is not available before 2015.
- Real per capita personal income has no metro-area counterpart in BEA's regional accounts; it is Idaho- and nation-level only.
- County-level price parities are not published at all.
Measures
- Regional price parity (index): Price level relative to the national average (nation = 100.000), by category: all items, goods, or one of three services groups.
- Real per capita personal income (usd): Per capita personal income adjusted for the state's regional price level and the national PCE price index, in constant 2017 dollars.
