Caveats
- Counts breweries holding an active TTB Brewer's Notice as of December 31 of each year, not breweries that shipped beer that year.
- A brewery that is bankrupt, under a cease-and-desist order, on hold for a violation, or pending revocation is counted in a nationwide 'Other' total the source publishes outside the state breakdown, and is not included in any state's count here.
- The publisher withholds a state's count for a year when it has no reportable data; that state has no observation for that year rather than a zero.
