Caveats
- Visitation is counted in visitor days, a measure of use over time rather than a headcount of visitors, so it differs from a count of vehicle entries or of individual people.
- Visitation is reported for the calendar year, not the state's fiscal year used elsewhere in this dataset.
- Visitation and acreage are printed in thousands and stored to the nearest thousand; only that precision is meaningful.
- State park acreage includes land under water.
- State park visitation is not broken out by individual park in this source; only a statewide total is published here.
