Idaho wildlife services take
USDA APHIS Wildlife Services' own record of what its Idaho program did about wildlife damage: animals killed or euthanized, burrows or dens destroyed, and animals freed or dispersed, by species, invasive status, capture/targeting method, and intent, for federal fiscal years 2014 through 2024.

Caveats
- Program Data Report G has no stable per-year URL, no API, and no bulk file download; it is served only as a client-rendered report behind a year selector at aphis.usda.gov/wildlife-services/publications/pdr. These rows were compiled by hand from the Idaho state view of that report, one federal fiscal year at a time, rather than fetched by an automated puller; the compiled file was produced on 2026-08-25, which is the retrieved date recorded here.
- The year basis is the federal fiscal year, October through September, not a calendar year, and it should not be read against this site's usual 'FY2024' state-fiscal-year format (July-June): the two conventions share a label format but not the same months.
- The take totals are dominated by a bird program, not by predators. European starlings are 97.4 percent of everything Wildlife Services killed in Idaho across FY2014-FY2024, under a separate agricultural bird program. Quoting the all-species or all-year total as a predator-control figure overstates it by roughly two orders of magnitude; filter agriculture.wildlife_services_take by category (species) instead.
- The method column (in the row-level records only; not carried into the derived observation) is the capture, restraint, or targeting method. APHIS states it 'MAY NOT have been the method or tool used to kill, euthanize, or free/relocate' the animal, so it is not a cause of death.
- agriculture.wildlife_services_take counts the `killed` field only (animals killed or euthanized), summed across every method and both Intentional and Unintentional intent, per species per fiscal year. It excludes burrowsRemoved (structures, not animals), and freed and dispersed (not takes). This is the same basis lpag's own dataset module (wsPredatorYears()) uses.
- This dataset covers one federal program's own actions in Idaho and nothing else: private trapping, county pest-district work, permit holders, and landowner take are all outside it. It is not a measure of predator control in Idaho, and Idaho's own wolf take is reported separately by Idaho Fish and Game.
- This dataset is deliberately not joined to Idaho sheep and lamb death loss (nass-sheep-death-loss): the year bases differ (federal fiscal year here, calendar year there), and this program's take is not a measure of what killed livestock, only of what one federal program did.
